The countryside in which Caromb sits is stunning, made up mostly of vines, cherry and olive trees, but a 15-minute walk finds you in the forest to the north-east which is a stark contrast to the sun-parched plains of the vines.

Caromb has small grocery shops, a butcher, a bakery, cafes and bistros; there is a lovely Provencal outdoor market on Tuesday morning. Nearby Bedoin, Beames-de-Venise and Carpentras have markets; Crillon-le Brave is a stunning jewel of a village.

Caromb is ideally located to explore and enjoy the department of Vaucluse. The Luberon National Park, with its picture postcard beauty and perched, hilltop villages is a 40 minute drive.
